## 📈 Modifier Sales Reports

See how modifiers sold — rolled up under the parent item, or modifier-only — then print or export from the same Report Viewer.

**Before you run this report:** the date range is two combined date-and-time fields, **Start Time** and **End Time** (default today 00:00–23:59, format `yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm`). **Export** (PDF / XLSX), **Print**, and **Send Email** are all on the viewer toolbar — see [Use the Report Viewer](https://help.posx.ai/hc/xpos/articles/1786624855-use-the-report-viewer) for click-by-click steps.

### 📝 Steps

1. On the **web** app, open sidebar **REPORTING** (not on the native POS). Print, PDF/Excel, and email steps are in **Use the Report Viewer**.
2. Set **Report Category** to **Sales Report**.
3. Set **Report Name** to **Modifier By Item Sales Report** or **Modifier Report**.
4. Set the combined **Start Time** and **End Time** fields (`yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm`), then wait for the preview.
5. Use the viewer toolbar to print, export **PDF** / **Excel**, or email.

When to pick which report:

| Open this report | When you need |
|---|---|
| **Modifier By Item Sales Report** | Modifiers grouped under the parent item |
| **Modifier Report** | Modifier-only sales (no parent-item rollup) |

**Item Sales Report** (quantity, sold price, subtotal by item/category) is a separate guide. It uses this same viewer and is not replaced by the two modifier reports.

> **💡 Tip:** Modifier sales are not a different workflow — same **Report Category**, same dates, different **Report Name**. If you only need item totals without modifiers, stay on **Item Sales Report**.
