🕒 View the Order Timeline
Trace who did what and when on an order — useful when checking a disputed bill or a missing item.
📝 Steps
- In POS, tap a table that has an order to open its order screen
- Tap Function → Order Timeline
- The Order Timeline dialog opens, showing the order date, Table, Server, Ref, and Status at the top
- Below the header, each event shows its time, a short title, the employee (when known), the device (when known), and an optional detail line, listed in the order returned by the server
💡 Tip: The Order Timeline button stays greyed out until the order has been sent to the server — a brand-new, unsent order has no timeline yet. Once sent, it works for open, paid, and voided orders, as long as you stay on that table's order screen. Anyone who can open the table can view it; there is no separate permission. Data loads live, so the device must be online — if there is nothing to show you see No timeline data found for this order, and if loading fails you see Failed to load timeline. Please try again. with a Retry button.
