Add & Manage Printers
๐จ๏ธ Add & Manage Printers Register each receipt, kitchen, label, kiosk, or event printer, choose how it connects, and assign a print template. ๐ Steps 1. Open MANAGEMENT โ System Setup. Under Printer Setup, tap Manage Printers. The Printers Setup list shows each printer name and type. 2. Tap Add a Printer (or the pencil on an existing row to open Edit a Printer). 3. Enter Printer Name and choose Printer Type: Receipt Printer, Check Printer, Order Printer, Kitchen Printer, Kiosk Printer, Label Printer, QR Printer, Kitchen KDS, or Event Printer. 4. Choose Connection Type and complete the matching fields: - Ethernet โ enter IP Address, or tap the search icon to open Printer List and tap Scan Printers, then pick an IP. - Windows Driver or Windows Driver (Built-in) โ choose Driver Printer Name. - USB โ choose USB Device. If two devices share a serial number, turn on Use Device Port and pick USB Port. 5. Set Protocol (ESC/POS or TSPL) and a Template (required). Set Print Times (copies, default 1), Retries (retries after a failed print), and Print Sequence (execution order). 6. Set routing: - Linked Terminals โ shown for Receipt Printer, Check Printer, QR Printer, and Kiosk Printer. Link the printer to specific terminals before default routing. The list marks Current. - Is Not Default โ do not use this printer as the default. - Kitchen Printer only: Itemized Print Mode prints kitchen orders item by item. - Kitchen Printer and Order Printer: Disable Printing Sequence prints in entry order; Disable Cancel Slip Printing skips cancel / void slips. 7. Tap the green check to save. To remove a printer, tap the red delete on its row and confirm Are you sure you want to delete this item? 8. If a Printing Software dialog appears โ System detected a printing agent software installed โโฆโ within the same network โ tap Pair. Pairing is required before Windows Driver printers can print. ๐ก Tip: This form has no backup-printer field and no Test Print button. Kitchen, label, cash-drawer, and event toggles live under SETTINGS โ use Manage Printers only to register hardware. ๐ฌ Video Guide Watch Demo Video
Edit Print Templates
๐งพ Edit Print Templates Change the header, body, footer, and codepage of the receipt, kitchen, label, and other print templates that printers already use. ๐ Steps 1. Open MANAGEMENT โ System Setup โ Manage Print Templates 2. Each row shows the template name and printer type (Receipt, Check, Order, Kitchen, Kiosk, Label, QR, Kitchen KDS, Event) 3. Tap the pencil on a row to open Edit Template 4. Edit Template Name (and translations), Template Type, and Codepage (for example cp936 or cp950 for Chinese characters) 5. Edit Header, Body, and Footer. Templates may also have command text (TSPL/ZPL) for label printing 6. Tap the green check to save. To remove a template you no longer use, tap the red delete and confirm ๐ก Tip: There is currently no working way to create a new template from this screen โ you can only edit or delete the seeded templates. Assign a template to hardware in Manage Printers. After you change a template, print a test ticket from the POS to confirm Chinese characters and layout. ๐ฌ Video Guide Watch Demo Video
Manage Registered Devices
๐ป Manage Registered Devices See every terminal registered to this outlet, mark the Main device, rename a device, or remove one that is no longer used. ๐ Steps 1. Open MANAGEMENT โ System Setup โ Device Setup 2. The list shows Name, Type, tags (This Device / Main), and the registration date 3. Tap the pencil to rename the device. Turn on Set as primary to make it the Main device (disabled if another device is already Main) 4. On this computer (Electron), you can also turn on Staging Mode โ the app downloads the staging or production build and restarts 5. Tap the green check to save. To remove a device, tap the red delete on its row 6. If login shows Device Not Registered, unregister this device from the PIN screen and sign in again so it can register ๐ก Tip: There is no Add button โ a device registers when someone logs in on it. Without a Main device, print jobs do not run. Logging out from the wide menu unregisters the device; switching staff does not. ๐ฌ Video Guide Watch Demo Video
Control Center: Check Device, Printer and Network Status
๐ฅ๏ธ Control Center: Check Device, Printer and Network Status Open Control Center to check every printer, every registered device and your app version at a glance, plus network health from the sidebar. ๐ Steps 1. In the left sidebar, tap the Device List icon (installed app only, not the web version) to open Control Center. 2. At the top, System Current shows your version, followed by Upgrade Available or No Upgrade Available; tap Upgrade Now if one is offered. 3. The Printer row shows a tile per configured printer, in the color for its online or offline status. 4. The Device row shows a tile per registered device, labelled Main Device or Sub Device; your current device carries a small badge icon. 5. Tap Refresh In (Ns) to reload at once โ it also refreshes on its own every 5 seconds while Control Center is open. ๐ Check network status 1. Tap the network icon at the bottom of the sidebar (installed app only) for Offline, Poor Network, Moderate Network or Healthy Network, plus Latency and Bandwidth when you're online. 2. The app version also shows on the Login screen as Version {number}. ๐ก Tip: A Poor Network alert pops up on its own. Dismiss it and it stays quiet for 24 hours, even if the network is still poor.
